Accreditation
Clane General Hospital is indeed very proud to be able to boast of their Accreditation status. For the past nine years, Clane General Hospital has been fully accredited and now holds the award with CHKS until October 2010.
This accreditation affirms that all departments within Clane General Hospital have demonstrated during the past nine years the highest standards of organisational management and service delivery.
In particular the Accreditation Programme focuses on aspects such as patient safety, the patient’s experience of care, the expertise of staff working within the hospital, clinical governance, leadership and team work.
Insurance Cover
All patients when booking their admission to Clane General Hospital are required to provide details of their insurance cover or method of payment of Hospital fees.
Clane General Hospital operates a direct settlement system with VHI, Quinn Healthcare, ESB Medical Provident Fund, Garda Medical Aid, Hibernian Aviva and Prison Officers Medical Aid Society for all inpatients accounts.
The Admissions Office will provide patients with the relevant insurance forms for completion together with a note of any excess costs not covered by their insurance policy. It is important that patients clarify their health insurance cover with their insurers prior to their admission as all outstanding fees must be settled on or before admission.
Self Payers
All self payers are given a list of charges for their hospital stay on booking and will be expected to settle these fees on or before admission.
Our Accounts Department is open from Monday to Friday (8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) and can be contacted at (045) 982312.
